Njombe
Njombe Diocese
Njombe is a town located in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania, serving as the capital of the Njombe Region and the administrative hub for local districts. Situated at an altitude of nearly 2,000 meters near the Kipengere Range, it is known for a cool climate, agricultural production (potatoes), and a growing commercial infrastructure. The population (2012) was 40,607.

The Bishop of Njombe had requested assistance from the Rosminian Sisters some years ago but due to lack of numbers we were unable to provide the assistance he asked for. However, that changed as our numbers began to grow within the Rosminian Community. We now have two Sisters there; Sr. Anna Sanduku is in charge of Nursery which operates from the Sisters House. She is assisted by Sr. M. Margareta and one lay teacher and one auxiliary person. The Rosminian Sisters School Nursery is not yet fully open and registered. The Sisters are in the process of getting a nursery built.
